The Vision: To become the most influential non-profit organisation serving the transport industry in Southern Africa, thereby ensuring the rightful place for rail and road as effective modes of transport in the region.

Mission statement: To achieve the ideals of its vision, RRA will lobby all relevant stakeholders. The organisation will provide independent, objective and technically sound information, advice and expertise to enable decision makers, interested and affected parties, and other stakeholders to make informed decision regarding choice of mode, while at the same time addressing environmental and safety considerations.
