Xiaoyang Yu is a Founding Partner of China New Enterprise Investment (CNEI), a China focused growth capital fund. CNEI is a pioneer in successfully operating a foreign invested, onshore registered private equity fund in China.

Before founding CNEI, Ms. Yu co-founded Victoria Capital Limited, a Hong Kong based investment and financial advisory firm, which is engaged in private equity investment transactions in China, and long-term debt and mezzanine financing for portfolio companies of a number of large private equity funds.

Ms. Yu has over 20 years of banking and investment experience. She was among the first mainland Chinese to embark on a professional career with major international financial institutions. She served at Banque Paribas in Geneva, Dresdner Bank in Frankfurt, London and New York, and Salomon Brothers in New York. Ms. Yu also worked at Kissinger Associates, responsible for the firm’s China business, reporting directly to Dr. Kissinger.

Ms. Yu advised the Chinese government on the drafting of China’s venture capital rules, which regulates the formation and operations of foreign invested onshore RMB venture capital and private equity funds.
