Robert Friesen currently holds the position of Vice President of Preclinical and Clinical Research at Crucell. He joined Crucell on the 1st of August 2008 as Vice President of Antibody Discovery. He has been working in research and development of peptides, enzymes and antibodies for Biopharmaceuticals for over 10 years, successfully transitioning preclinical programs into the clinic. Dr Friesen received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry in 1997 from the University of Texas Medical Branch, in Texas, USA. In 2004, he became the Vice President of Preclinical Development at the Dutch biopharmaceutical firm, AM-Pharma B.V. and joined Crucell from the German biopharmaceutical firm MorphoSys where he held the position of Senior Director Preclinical and Early Clinical Development.
