Mr Tony Yau is one of the founding members of Butterfly Hotel and Serviced Apartment Group and is now the Group's Managing Director. Having formed the Group in 2008, Mr Yau has managed to establish and launch three boutique hotels under Butterfly's brand in Hong Kong namely Butterfly on Prat, Butterfly on Morrison and Butterfly on Wellington. The fourth Butterfly hotel is now under conversion and is scheduled to be in service in the first quarter of 2012. In addition to spearheading the Butterfly Group, Mr Yau is also the Executive Director of Chanco Investment Group ( the parent company of Butterfly Hotel and Serviced Apartment Group ) in which the company has also invested in a number of hospitality projects, one of which is the 550 rooms IBIS Sheung Wan Hotel to be opened in mid 2012 in Hong Kong. Mr Yau has over 20 years of project management experience in the hospitality and real estate industry and had worked for a number of listed companies in Hong Kong and Singapore. Mr Yau also served on the Board of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals which is the largest and the most well-established charitable organization in Hong Kong with over 140 years.
