Ashish Jakhanwala has 15 years of experience across functions in Hospitality industry including investment, development, operations, planning, corporate finance and business advisory services.

In January 2011, Ashish co-founded SAMHI Hotels Pvt. Ltd (SMART HOTEL INVESTMENTS) – a hotel development and investment company along with Manav Thadani, Chairman HVS India and Steve Rushmore, Founder and President of HVS. SAMHI is currently in process of its first closing and is starting work on initial seed assets.

Between 2004 and 2010, Ashish was part of core team responsible for starting-up and developing the Accor and InterGlobe hotel development portfolio in India, which consists of over 25 investments across India from Economy to Luxury assets with a total asset value of over USD 1 billion and equity commitments of over USD 450 million. These included development of the Ibis hotel network and some landmark transactions such as the Sofitel Mumbai, a 300 room hotel opening in 2011 and the multiple hotel deal with Delhi International Airport. In 2009, Ashish was awarded “Gold Bernache”

Prior to Accor, Ashish worked with Pannell Kerr Forster, part of PKF Global network and a recognized name in hotel consulting.

Ashish has a Post Graduate in Management with specialization in finance and strategy from International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi. India and a Graduate Diploma in Hotel Management, National Council of Hotel Management, New Delhi. India.
