Daniel Merino-Garcia has collaborated for several years with the Research Centre of ENI (Italy) in asphaltene and wax characterisation and modelling. He has been working since 2007 in the Upstream Technology Centre of Repsol (Spain), as a production technologist and is specialised in Fluid Characterisation and Flow Assurance. Over the last 5 years, he has participated in the definition of the Flow Assurance strategy for the main fields under development in Repsol, as well as the R&D projects of Repsol in Flow Assurance. Having published over 25 articles in this discipline, Daniel will share some of his findings on optimising oil production through slugging.
