Sherry Lin is a Director & Chief Representative at Mousse Partners, a New York based private investment firm controlled by the family affiliated with Chanel Inc, the luxury goods company. She heads the China office of Mousse Partners, established in Beijing in late 2008. Sherry joined Mousse in 2005 and was previously responsible for global private equity investments, with a special focus on Asia, direct co-investments and secondary fund activity.

Mousse Partners invests primarily in alternative asset managers, including private equity and hedge funds. Mousse also invests directly in public and private securities and assets. The portfolio is widely diversified by strategy and geography. The Mousse Partners’ Beijing office focuses primarily on Greater China and selected countries in East Asia and Southeast Asia. It also occasionally makes direct investments and co-investments.

Prior to Mousse, Sherry worked directly with the Chief Investment Officer at The James Irvine Foundation. Previously, she was a Technology M&A Banker and Internet / Media Equity Research Associate at Thomas Weisel Partners in San Francisco. Sherry has also worked as a Financial Analyst at Goldman Sachs and a Research Analyst at Ernst & Young in New York City. Sherry holds a B.A. from Columbia University and a J.D. / M.B.A. from Northwestern Law / Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
