Mr. Oden is a Principal of AllianceBernstein L.P., which he joined in 1992. Mr. Oden works with a broad spectrum of the firm’s clients to develop and implement investment strategies. In addition to his responsibilities within the U.S., he has taken an active role in the global expansion of the firm, particularly in the Asia and the UK, and works with a number of the firm’s offshore clients in those jurisdictions. Mr. Oden is Chairman of the New York Branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), an international organization for professionals involved in cross-border tax and estate matters.

Prior to Bernstein, Mr. Oden spent 10 years in real estate investment banking, most recently as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield in New York, responsible globally for the firm’s business with financial institutions. He was Director of Institutional Placement in Corporate Finance for Drexel Burnham Lambert and Executive Vice President of Drexel Burnham Realty. Additionally, he began his career as a Vice President of Bankers Trust Company in New York.

Mr. Oden sits on the Investment Committees of Southwestern University and the St. George’s Society of New York. He is on the Board of Trustees of the Merchant’s House Museum of New York, and served as a Trustee for the Manhattan School of Music for many years. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Greater Tumen Initiative, a United Nations and governmental sponsored organization based in Beijing which seeks to promote trade and investment in North-East Asia by fostering cooperation between business and government in four countries—China, Russia, Mongolia and Korea.

A former President of the University of Texas Alumni Association of New York, Mr. Oden graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where he received BA and MBA degrees.
