In June 2006, Mrs. Ester Levanon was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE). Since her appointment, Mrs. Levanon aims and strives to expose the TASE internationally, as part of the process of turning the TASE into a global exchange. During that period of time Tel Aviv Stock Exchange has been promoted to developed market status by FTSE and MSCI. Mrs. Levanon joined the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange in 1986; she held the position of Executive Vice President - CIO & Head of Operations (formerly: Senior V.P, V.P). Mrs. Levanon is responsible for turning the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange into a fully automated Exchange, upgrading it to one of the most advanced Stock Exchanges as well as one of the very few that offers a fully automated trading in securities, bonds, T-bills and derivatives alongside fully automated - paperless clearing and settlement. Prior to 1986, from 1973 to 1985 Mrs. Levanon established and managed the Computer Division of the Israeli Security Service. Mrs. Levanon holds a M.Sc. in Mathematics from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. In 1998, she attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School, U.S.A.
