Mr Cetin Ali Donmez,

Mr. Çetin Ali Dönmez was born in Istanbul on 27 September 1967. Upon completion of his B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering at Boğaziçi University in 1989, Mr. Dönmez received his MSc. degree in Management from the Social Sciences Institute of the same university. In 2006, Mr. Dönmez acquired his PhD degree in Management at Boğaziçi University. Mr. Dönmez has numerous articles published in Turkish and English. He is also the co-author of a published book on derivatives. He has been lecturing on finance for the personnel of various brokerage houses and banks as well as for specialists at the governmental regulatory organizations, such as the Ministry of Finance and the Capital Markets Board. Mr. Çetin Ali Dönmez started his professional career in the Equity Market at Istanbul Stock Exchange as Assistant Expert in 1990. In 1993, Mr Dönmez acquired “Expert in ISE Equity Market” title after a comprehensive exam. He took a leading role in the re-organization of the equity market trading system and later in the various stages of transition to the electronic trading project. In 1995, Mr. Dönmez worked as Assistant Manager at Takasbank (the Clearing House) in the establishment of the margin trading and securities lending market. Afterwards, Mr. Dönmez started working at the ISE Directorate of Futures Market, where he assumed team leadership role in the electronic trading analysis, design and test stages of the futures market. He became the Director of the ISE Futures Market in 1997. With the establishment of the Risk Management Directorate at ISE in 2006, Mr Dönmez was appointed as the Director. Since April 2008, Mr Dönmez has been the CEO of Turkish Derivatives Exchange.
