After an earlier career in offshore oil exploration Rob has 22 years experience in both operations and engineering from both London Underground and more recently RailCorp.
He joined London Underground in 1986 and undertook senior management roles in station cleaning, track maintenance and renewals, lifts and escalators maintenance, before moving into operations in 1997.
His passenger operational experience had extended from running a single high density metro line to being Director of Stations and latterly the Director of Trains for the whole of London Underground. His final role in London Underground was to deliver the total customer service offering, for nearly 50% of the network through both stations and train operations.
Since arriving in Australia, Rob has successfully implemented two CityRail timetables, raising on time running from 60% to over 92% at a time of unprecedented patronage growth, improved customer satisfaction, and most recently oversaw the opening of the new Epping to Chatswood Rail Link.
He has a degree in Hydrographic Surveying and a post-graduate MBA.
