Mark is a transport professional who has worked in the sector for over 18 years for state, local government, and in the private sector.
Mark has worked in the Queensland public sector from early 2007, with his first appointment as head of TransLink's Planning & Infrastructure Group where he led the planning and delivery of over $3 billion of infrastructure and services.
In late 2007, Mark was appointed to the role of Executive Director in the former Queensland Transport's Integrated Transport Planning Division.
Formerly, Mark headed the NSW Ministry of Transport's Policy Division where he was responsible for rail, bus, ferry, freight, aviation, logistics and transport security policy development and implementation across NSW.
Mark's earlier appointments included 5 years as head of Brisbane City Council's Urban Transport Group where he led a significant reform agenda, including the introduction of Compressed Natural Gas buses to Brisbane and the franchising of Brisbane River ferry services.
Mark has a proven track record in managing and delivering strategic plans, major project and infrastructure for state and local government.
Mark is currently the Department of Tranport and Main Roads’ General Manager for Integrated Transport Planning.
