Ken Dobinson is Managing Director, Dobinson & Associates, a private consultancy in management and transport planning. He was previously Director NSW Roads & Traffic Authority. He has tertiary qualifications in engineering, environmental planning, management and law. He was awarded the Transport Engineering Medal by the Institution of Engineers for his contribution to transport in Australia. He is now involved with development by the private sector in Eastern Australia, including major city developments, new towns, town centres and transport infrastructure projects. He was Project Director of the innovative research project – ‘Sustainable Transport in Sustainable Cities’- at the Warren Centre, Sydney University and pursues implementation of the findings with Governments as a Director of 10,000 Friends of Greater Sydney .
