 Mr Des Dent,
CEO 10000 Friends of Greater Sydney Mr Dent is a graduate of Qld Uni in Engineering and Economics and worked in QR and Main Roads each for 10 years. He has specialised in the application of computer technology to transport engineering.
His 15 year period in consulting with PPK took him to China, Thailand, Indonesia and in the Philippines he was the World Bank Ministerial adviser on transport responsible for transport studies and the planning of major infrastructure investments.
In TransCore he supervised the design and installation of electronic tolling systems on four motorways in Sydney and assisted in the construction of the Transport Management Center in Sydney
As Engineering Manager for Tyco he managed the Railcorp Video surveillance system, Melbourne and Adelaide Smartbus, and the Auckland Motorway Surveillance system.
