Grigori Saghyan, Ph.D., holds the position of Technical Director of Armenian Information Company - “Arminco”, a company which was founded in 1992 and pioneered commercial Internet Services in Armenia. He was at the origins of the company formation from the beginning and has contributed a lot to the prosperity of it, due to which the company enjoys the respect and confidence of the subscribers. Grigori Saghyan has a great experience in the field of telecommunications and IT industry. With the background of PhD in 1989 in field of solid state electronics, associated professor in Russian-Armenian University, in the period from 2001-2003 he has occupied the position of the Deputy Head of the General Department for Communication and IT, Ministry of Transport and Communication, RA. He has a number of publications, as well as participations in lots of national and international projects such as Co-ordinator in the UNIDO project for the informational support of small and medium size enterprises (1995), Co-ordinator of the UNESCO RINEE project in Armenia 1995, Co-ordinator of the EU STACCIS project in Armenia 1996-1999, Sub-contractor of EDAR-9502 TACIS project 1997-1999, etc. One more thing which is worth mentioning is the fact of being Vice-president of the Internet Society of Armenia ISOC.AM.
