 Sir Julian Horn-Smith,
Member of Advisory Board Altimo Sir Julian Horn-Smith, aged 60, was one of the founding members of Vodafone Group Plc and considered to be one of the principal architects in the development of Vodafone’s International Strategy. He retired from the Vodafone Board in July 2006, where he held the title Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
Sir Julian Horn-Smith, is a member of Altimo’s International Advisory Board
Sir Julian is also a Senior Advisor to UBS Investment Bank, in London, Senior Advisor to CVC (Telecoms and Media) and holds a number of other directorships, including Digicel Limited, (a Caribbean and Pacific Telecoms Company), Lloyds Banking Group (Non-Executive Director), Martin Dawes Systems Limited (IT Systems), De La Rue plc and EMobile in Japan. He is also a Trustee for the Hope for Tomorrow Charity, Chairman of The Turkish British Business Council, and President of the Egyptian Exploration Society. His interests include; Rugby, Golf, Opera, Reading, His Garden and Racing
In 2004 he received a knighthood in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to international telecommunications.
