Dr. Ralph Schiess is a biochemist by training and received his Ph.D. from the ETH Zurich. During his doctoral studies his research was focusing on mass spectrometry based proteomics with a special interest in biomarker discovery. He is currently leading the biomarker efforts in the group of Prof. Ruedi Aebersold (ETH Zurich). Furthermore, he is CEO and co-founder of ProteoMediX AG, a company dedicated to enable personalized cancer medicine by bringing together diagnosis and therapy.
