"Dr. Lars Knoch was born in Luebeck, north Germany and started his biological career in south Germany in the mid 90´s at the well known Eberhardt-Karls University of Tuebingen. After finishing his Diploma thesis about the molecular function of HOX genes, he started his PhD at the Max-Planck Institute for Developmental Biology in the Department of Prof. Dr. Ralf Sommer working in the field of molecular evolutionary biology. Scientific topics of his PhD thesis were the formation of the HOX-Cluster and the function of the EGF-Pathway in a closely related species of C. elegans called Pristionchus pacificus. He finished his thesis in the beginning of the year 2007 and since then he is working for Sigma-Aldrich. First working as a Sales Specialist in the life science section of SigmaAldrich.
Since this year he is responsible as the technical expert for the new and innovative Technology of ZincFinger Nucleases in the region of Europe, Middle East and South-Africa (EMEA). As the Scientific Consultant for this highly advanced technology he is supporting customers in their daily needs and questions regarding ongoing and future projects."
