Dr Diane Seimetz,
Chief Scientific Officer and Executive Vice President
Fresenius Biotech GmbH

Since 2008 Diane Seimetz, PhD, MDRA, is Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of Fresenius Biotech. In this function she is responsible for Clinical Development and Medical Affairs, Preclinical Development, Regulatory Affairs and Program Management. Diane Seimetz joined the Fresenius Healthcare Group in 1999 and has since then been closely involved in the development of the trifunctional antibody catumaxomab. This antibody is approved in the EU for the treatment of malignant ascites since April 2009. Diane Seimetz received her degree in pharmaceutical science in 1996 and completed her PhD at the University of Heidelberg in 1999. Her research work was conducted at the German Cancer Research Center and the Johns Hopkins University, where she worked towards glycotargeting in oncology. Diane Seimetz received her Master’s Degree in Drug Regulatory Affairs (MDRA) in 2002.
