Stuart is a Director of New Zealand Carbon Exchange (NZCX), an emissions trading company, and Frazer Lindstrom Limited, New Zealand's leading independent climate change and energy sector consultancy. In his executive position with The New Zealand Refining Company, he led the negotiation of and finalised New Zealand’s first Negotiated Greenhouse Agreement. In 2003 he established Frazer Lindstrom, and in 2004, in anticipation of a move towards emissions trading, NZCX was formed.
