Murray is a Director of New Zealand Carbon Exchange Ltd (NZCX) and Prime Markets. Since graduating from Lincoln University with a Finance and Economics Degree, Murray has gained over 15 years experience working in financial and commodity markets. Murray was involved in establishing an energy and commodity exchange in the UK in 1999 and has subsequently advised exchanges, brokers and trading companies on energy, emissions and commodity markets. This included a project with a London based global energy company developing an energy trading strategy incorporating Renewable Obligation Contracts (ROC’s) and the EU Emissions Trading Scheme. Murray provides professional advice in the areas of trading and trading risk management along with provision of commodity broking and transaction advisory services. He continues to advise exchanges, brokers and traders on transaction and trading risk management and exchange solutions.
