Pre-conference Workshop, Tuesday, 6 April 2010Pre-conference Workshop, Tuesday, 6 April 2010
The changing geopolitics of oil and gasOverview
The oil and gas industry is operating during a propitious moment. Analysts predict that there will be a boom in commodities prices for the next ten years or so.
Demand is such that the International Energy Agency expects that $2.2 trillion dollars in new investments will be required over the next 30 years to meet increasing global demand.
This workshop explores this context, by laying out the way that political considerations affect oil and gas markets. Regions to be covered include: United States, Africa, Latin America, Middle East and Asia.
Your workshop leader
Dr Eva Thorne, Principal, Corporate Governance
