Mr. Moazzam Mekan,

Mr. Mekan is a manager of IFC’s advisory services in the Middle East and North Africa region for Public-Private Partnerships and Privatizations. He has over 20 years experience in the field of infrastructure investments and helping governments in establishing their PPP programs. He is currently heading the IFC efforts in advising the governments of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Pakistan, and Lebanon in implementing successful private sector participation transactions in the education, health, water, electricity, and transport sectors. Mr. Mekan has successfully led/is leading on the following projects: • Concessioning of the Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan. • Concessioning of the Hajj Terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. • PPP of the KAIA Desalination Plant in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia • BOT of the New Cairo Wastewater Project in Cairo, Egypt • PPP of two hospitals in Alexandria, Egypt • Concessioning of the Cairo-Alexandria Freeway • IPP projects in Lebanon, Syria and Yemen • A metro transit project in Sao Paulo, Brazil • Electricity utility privatizations in Armenia, Georgia, and Pakistan • Concessioning of the Bucharest water company. • Irrigation PPP projects in Morocco • Concessioning of the Madinah Airport in Saudi Arabia • Development of Airport Cities in Saudi Arabia
