Mr. Henk Waling,

Henk Waling studied chemical engineering and business management. He started his career in 1974 in the food and dairy industry. Before joining the public transport sector in the early nineties, he was working as management consultant in various industries. He worked as Technical Director in regional and urban public transport companies, lately in the Municipal Transport Company of Amsterdam(GVB). Innovation and environmental issues has always been high on his agenda. Since 2004 Henk Waling was involved in several complex projects in the light rail sector, as consultant or project director, working from his own management consulting company. Since 2007 he is Managing Director of AMSYS, responsible for the renewal and extensions of the Amsterdam Metro System.
