Nic Cola is Chief Operating Officer at Fairfax Digital*. Fairfax Digital publishes more than 30 websites and reaches over 16 million unique browsers and serves 700 million page impressions per month and Nic is responsible for the operating divisions of Media and Online Transactions. Nic has been with Fairfax Digital for over 12 years, in a variety of roles including Director- News, Information and Entertainment, where he was responsible Fairfax’s market leading digital news business (online at the smh.com.au and theage.com.au), Media Sales and Digital Entertainment business across Fairfax Digital and General Manager of Online Classifieds Nic is an experienced media executive, having been with Fairfax for over 23 years in a variety of Finance and Corporate Development positions. In 1995, Nic was one of the founding members of Fairfax’s new media team overseeing its early investments in Big Hand, Ausinet and the CitySearch US and Big Colour Pages joint venture as well as being instrumental in the early growth of it’s online news and classifieds business. Nic the current Chairman of the Interactive Advertising Bureau of Australia and has also been a Board Member of the Australian Interactive Mulitmedia Industry Association. He is also a Board Member of Commerce Australia, Advantate and OMG.
