 Mr Frederic Barnaud,
President & Managing Director Gazprom Global LNG ltd. Frédéric H. Barnaud (43) has been educated at the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, one of Frances elite scientific and business school, and at the Institute for Energy Studies of the Oxford University. He further studied financial and commodities markets at Cass City Business School (London University).
Frédéric has worked for Total from 1990 until 2008, initially in the Trading Division as derivatives trader and head of risk management R&D; then in the Refining & Marketing Division where he has held various roles in wholesales, commercial assets optimisation, strategy and business development. He finally moved to the Gas & Power Division of Total in 2000 and set up the LNG Trading & Shipping Desk to oversee the significant growth of Totals LNG commercial portfolio.
In June 2008, Frédéric joined Gazprom Marketing & Trading. He has been appointed President & Managing Director of Gazprom Global LNG and covers LNG trading, marketing, shipping and business development. He has been promoting an increasingly active participation of Gazprom in LNG markets to complement its traditional pipeline gas business.
Gazprom is majority-partner in the LNG plant on Sakhalin Island (Russian Federation) and is developping the Shtokman field in the Barents via a combined LNG and gas project.Appearing: Conference Day 1 - 1 June 2010 9am Keynote Session 1 - Managing Uncertainties: Global LNG trends, challenges and development
