We started in February 1997, when the organisation was created to bring together people from around the world interested in rail connections to airports. The objective is to share common problems and seek solutions – to be a portal to good practice and expertise for airport railways. We are an advocacy group, and a supporting organisation for advocates of airport railways: recently we have worked with the aviation industry to retain the Gatwick Express, and we are supporting the concept of a railway to the Low Cost Carrier terminal at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
