Jonathan Deutsch, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Rochester and The Sackler School of Medicine. Dr. Deutsch completed his internship at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ, USA in the Department of Internal Medicine, and he completed his training in Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Deutsch received Board Certification in Anesthesiology and additional Board Certification in Pain Management. Early in his career, Dr. Deutsch joined the faculty of the Anesthesiology Department of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in NY. He has enjoyed working in academic medicine, private practice and in a variety of pharmaceutical industry roles. Since moving to the pharmaceutical industry 13 years ago, Dr. Deutsch has held a range of positions of increasing responsibility while working at Organon, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Baxter and Roche. Dr. Deutsch has worked in Medical Affairs and Clinical Development focusing on Risk Management and Clinical Trials of marketed and pipeline products ranging from phase 1 to 4 trials. His Pharmacovigilance experience includes heading up Organon’s US Drug Safety Department. Since April 2007, Dr. Deutsch has been Safety Science Leader in the Roche Oncology Licensing and Early Development Drug Safety group. His work at Roche includes a mechanistic approach to safety and signal detection
