 Dr Wayne Mitchell,
Group Leader, Bioinformatics Experimental Therapeutics Centre, Agency for Science Technology & Research, Singapore Since his recruitment by ASTAR in 2003, Dr. Mitchell was a Senior Scientist at the Genome Institute of Singapore. He was founding Group Leader in Informatics at The Experimental Therapeutics Centre, and currently is Group Leader in Bioinformatics there, as ell as Principle Investigator and Project Leader (antibiotic drug discovery). In Addition he Associate Professor (adjunct) in the School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, and a member of the Bioinformatics Research Centre at NTU. He was scientific founder of Tao Biosciences, a San Francisco based biotechnology company focused on the development of novel antibiotics on an integrated computational and experimental platform.
Dr. Mitchell received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was University Fellow and a MacArthur Foundation Breadth Fellow.
