 Jesus Padilla,
Director General Transport Corridor Metrobus, CISA, Mexico, Mexico Jesus Padilla Zenteno was born in Mexico City on the 18 of January 1962. He studied in the Instituto Politecnico Nacional where he obtained a bachelors degree in informatics.
Mr. Padilla has more than 30 years of experience in the public service transport sector. As a member of one of the principal transport association in Mexico City (Ruta 2), he knows all about the ups and downs in this area, not to mention that he has been from the driver of his unit to the general manager of a transport company.
Presently, he is the representative of the mentioned association before the authorities, which implies being the spokes person of more than 2 thousand 400 concessionaries that operates in 19 branch lines in Mexico City, furthermore he has been advising potential operators that are looking to develop their business scheme of man - bus into bus companies that will operate the next transport corridor in the country’s capital as well as in other states of the Mexican Republic.
At the moment, he is the president of the board of directors and general manager of the company Corredor Insurgentes S.A de C.V., pioneer in the modernization of public transport in Mexico. He has participated as a lecturer in a lot of international and national events, highlighting:
• Sustainable Transport international congresses promoted by the Centro de Transporte Sustentable.
• Experience and training in the financing of massive transport in Mexico.
• International forums on sustainable mobility.
• National convention about urban transport.
Actually, one of his principal objectives is to preside over the Mexican Association of Transport and Mobility (AMTM A.C.) with a plan to promote actions that would contribute to guaranteeing the right of quality public transport, boosting the organization of the citizenship sector, the traffic, the infrastructure and the urban transport equipment and the sustainable urban mobility; studies and diffusion on specialized knowledge and best practices both national and international on topics related to urban mobility, transport and traffic, covering the technical- scientific dimensions, politics, social, cultural, economical, environmental and urbanity.
