Overview of the Australia Pacific Aviation Outlook Summit 2009
The 2009 event attracted over 200 executives from across the entire travel value chain including airports, airlines, government departments and tourism authorities.
Comprehensive research and planning ahead of the conference, which included consultation with the industry and a market survey, ensured that the event covered the issues that most reflected the needs of the audience. Speakers presented on topics ranging from the Aviation White paper, consolidation and liberalisation, carrier expansion strategies, low cost long haul strategies, airline finance, infrastructure and airport development and destination marketing. The addition of a third day devoted to technology & innovation featured insights into how aviation businesses were using new technologies to cut costs, enhance revenue, and improve sales and marketing strategies.
Day Three of the conference takes a closer look at how the region’s airports are modernising their facilities, investing in new technologies and expanding capacity to enhance the passenger experience, compete effectively for carrier business and generate additional revenue.
There will also be a separately bookable Travel Technology & Distribution day which brings together travel suppliers and distributors to discuss strategies for maximising sales and revenue, driving brand loyalty, generating ancillary revenue and managing and optimising distribution channels.
