Mr Simon Moutter,
Chief Executive Officer Auckland International Airport Simon Moutter joined Auckland Airport as Chief Executive Officer in August 2008. He is responsible for executive oversight of the airports delivery to all stakeholders, passengers, airline customers, community, investors and all the people who work at the airport.
Prior to that Simon led Telecoms Gen-i and Retail Divisions as Chief Operating Officer. During his nine years at Telecom, Simon managed almost all of the major components of Telecoms business at one time or another including Network, Operations, Customer Service, Sales and Marketing across the Telecom, Xtra, Gen-i and Ferrit brands.
Simons time at Telecom was preceded by 13 years in the electricity and gas industries where Simon worked in various senior management positions in the energy sector in Taranaki including CEO of Powerco Ltd, General Manager of New Plymouth Energy and Station Manager at the New Plymouth Power Station. He also ran his own engineering consulting and contracting company.
Simon is a 49 year old New Zealander who has a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Canterbury University and a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Physics, from Massey University.
