Toulouse, Southern France-based regional aircraft manufacturer ATR is the world reference in the 50 to 74-seat turboprop market. Its ATR 42 and ATR 72 are the perfect solution on short-haul routes around the world. ATR has sold 1,000 aircraft since the beginning of its programme in 1981, and benefits from the experience and know-how of two of the major leading European aerospace industries EADS and Alenia Aeronautica (Finmeccanica Group). ATR launched in 2007 the new ‘–600 series’, the newest generation of its aircraft family. The ‘-600 series’ include, among other innovations, an enhanced cockpit equipped with upgraded avionics instrumentation, new PW 127 M engines with increased power rating, and a new cabin featuring the most modern standards of comfort.
ATR is well established worldwide, with a large customer support network which includes Customer Support Centres in Washington, Bangalore, and Singapore and training facilities in Toulouse, Houston, Bangalore, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. ATR counts also a wide network of warehouses, in Paris, Miami, New Delhi, Singapore and Auckland.
ATR posted in 2009 a record year with a turnover of US $ 1.4 billion, thus doubling its result in three years (US $ 700 million in 2006).
