Chief Executive Officer Radixx International Ron is Chairman and CEO of Radixx® International, Inc. based in Orlando, FL. Radixx® was founded in 1993 and developed the first modern airline reservations system using the Internet for all communications. Radixx currently hosts almost 30 airlines on five continents that connect via the Internet to its Oracle 10G based Passenger Services System located at its state of the art hosting center in Orlando, Florida. Radixx Air has successfully replaced Sabre, Amadeus, SITA Gabriel, AirKiosk, Worldspan, IGT, and various other airline reservations systems. Awarded “Best Technology Provider” at the 2007-2008 World Low Cost Airline Congress, Radixx Air® supports any airline business model and specializes in the new Hybrid carriers.
After starting his career at IBM, Ron founded Computer Support of North America and pioneered the replacement of proprietary mainframe systems with inexpensive networks at Fortune 500 companies. He has been dubbed “the father of mainframe downsizing” for his pioneering efforts. A former Vice President at AirTran Airways, he is now using technology in the airline industry to dramatically reduce costs and creatively expand distribution channels. A central effort has been to use open systems, cloud based computing and the Internet to link carriers via non-traditional means to various distribution channels and to one another.
Ron has founded and successfully run three companies, in the process functioning as a consultant to major computer manufacturers like Sun, Data General, Olivetti, and NCR. He has also been a consultant to a variety of large US corporations (Pfizer, Bell Atlantic, Nabisco, Lederle, EDS, et. al) and government agencies, and has also provided his consulting services to Fujitsu, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, ICT, Olivetti and other foreign corporations. He has been quoted numerous times in the trade and popular press, including Computerworld, Communications Week, Investor's Business Daily, PC Week, Software Magazine, CIO, CFO, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Fortune, Datamation, Barrons, and a variety of other publications. Ron has been a popular speaker at various airline and IT conferences.
