 Mr. Klaus Goersch,
Executive Vice President of Operations and Customer Service AirTran Airways Klaus Goersch, Executive Vice President – Operations and Customer Service, joined AirTran Airways in September of 1996. Goersch is responsible flight operations, maintenance & engineering, systems operations control, airport customer service, inflight services, reservations and customer relations at AirTran Airways.
Goersch has more than 20 years experience in the airline industry in both senior management and flying positions. Goersch is a Captain and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) designated examiner in the Boeing 737. He previously served as the Senior Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Flight Operations and the Director of Safety at AirTran Airways. Prior to joining AirTran Airways, he served as an FAA examiner and Director of Corporate Training at Mesaba Airlines. A native of Germany, Goersch began his pilot career at Lufthansa German Airlines.
Goersch received a bachelor of science in professional aeronautics and a master of aeronautical science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. Goersch, his wife, Brigitte, and family reside in Orlando, Florida.
