CILT - UAE Council in Dubai was originally founded in 2002 with the aim of introducing best practice through professional membership and education within the Logistics and Transport Management in UAE Region.

This year CILT - UAE Council is going through a very challenging programme with the aim of enhancing its membership portfolio in UAE and Gulf Region. Emirates Group has accepted to sponsor the main activities of CILT – UAE and a new office and training centre has been set-up at the Emirates Aviation College to administor and support the membership and education activities.  

The CILT – UAE Council is fortunate in having as their patron His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group and as its Chairman  Mr Maurice Flanagan CBE, B.A., Hon.FRAeS, FRAeS, FCILT, Emirates Group Vice President. As President we have Mr Mohammed A Alkhaja who is Senior Vice President (Safety and Standards) at Emirates Group and professional people from the shipping, transport and logistics industry occupy the rest of the council.
