This award serves to recognise the achievements of an outstanding individual in the global supply chain arena who has successfully spearheaded and driven supply chain initiatives, taking the company to the next level of excellence. This individual has broad and deep knowledge about the industry, is forward-thinking and innovative in his/her approach to evolving supply chain issues and challenges, and who has made significant contribution in driving the company’s business objectives particularly in this period of new economic and market paradigms.
Individuals will be judged on the following criteria:
- Individual contribution to the company in actively driving supply chain initiatives that has resulted in developing a more cost-effective, innovative and resilient supply chain
- Leadership role in supply chain management and people development within the business teams
- Demonstrated positive organisational change through his/her role in the supply chain organisation
- Internal recognition by company towards the individual’s contributions
- Depth and breadth of supply chain experience
- Peer recognition
- Contribution to the development of the logistics and supply chain community
2009 Supply Chain Excellence Award (Top 5 organisations)
This award recognises excellence in organisation and management of a complete supply chain, acknowledging the outstanding achievements of companies who have demonstrated innovation, strength and resilience in solving supply chain challenges and optimising supply chain efficiency. Winners of this award are enterprises who have successfully realised their corporate objectives as a result of effective supply chain management across the organisation’s value chain.
Companies will be judged on the following criteria:
- Management leadership in driving supply chain excellence throughout the organisation
- Supply chain strategies that demonstrate optimum results in achieving corporate objectives such as, enhancing the company’s financial bottom-line, maximising customer satisfaction, achieving cost reduction, increasing market share and gaining market leadership
- Measurable components of implementation for business processes along the supply chain through outcomes (stock turns, availability, etc), enablers (S&O Planning) and IT infrastructure (supporting investments)
- Successful collaboration strategies with suppliers and partners to strengthen supply chain relationships
Supply Chain and Logistics Service Providers:
Outstanding Partner in Supply Chain Excellence (Top 5 organisations)
This award recognises the top companies for their outstanding contributions in supply chain partnerships. These companies are providers of supply chain solutions and/or logistics services that have played significant roles in driving supply chain and/or logistics excellence in their client organisations, resulting in improved business performance. This award illustrates the importance and significance of supply chain partnerships, particularly during critical economic times. Winners of this award will be companies who have gone beyond the conventional terms of their contract and business deals to help and support their clients in mitigating the challenges of a volatile economy as well as the ever-changing business and consumer landscape.
Companies will be judged on the following criteria:
- Track record in assisting clients to reduce supply chain and logistics cost and develop an integrated supply chain
- Service level performance in terms of credibility, reliability and provision of end-to-end supply chain solutions/services
- Quantifiable results that has demonstrated success in developing mutually beneficial partnerships to strengthen the client’s commercial objectives
- Initiatives in addressing environmental challenges and have established environmental responsibility as a priority in their business objectives with clients
