Steven Hall, a seasoned broadcast executive, has extensive experience in journalism, commercial development, branding and marketing, having been at the helm of a wide range of media enterprises in Europe and the Middle East. He also possesses an understanding of the Middle East region, having worked in Arabic television for many years with MBC News and with Abu Dhabi TV's News Centre being involved with the planning and start up of the operation as Head of Production. Steve was appointed CEO of CNBC Arabiya in February, 2008, developing a new vision for the channel coinciding with its 5th anniversary year. Staging a major re-launch in November, 2008, CNBC Arabiya’s programming was revitalized with the addition of 12 new programmes, including two major new anchor shows, Al Bousaleh and Al Haseelah as well as programming focusing on women business leaders, green business, Islamic finance, private equity, and personal finance. CNBC Arabiya launched its redesigned financial portal cnbcarabia.com in the 2nd quarter of 2009 and is aiming at rolling out enhanced services for mobile in the 3rd quarter. Mr. Hall's educational background includes degrees form Oxford University (M. Phil.) and California Lutheran University (BA)
