Tim Janes is President of the Australasian BCI Chapter, and a member of the Business Continuity Institute. Tim Janes is also Director of Fulcrum Risk Services, an Australian business continuity and crisis management consulting services company. He has over 15 years experience providing risk consulting services to organisations in Europe, Asia and Australia. He has specific expertise in the delivery of business continuity, crisis management and operational risk management services to organisations in diverse industries, such as media, local and federal government, transportation, retail, tourism, logistics and financial services. Tim has applied his practical experience to assist clients to create and implement over 200 business continuity and crisis management plans, develop risk management frameworks and conduct over 100 scenario and simulation exercises. Tim has also carried out regulatory reviews, prepared and delivered business continuity and crisis management training in Australian and Asia, and developed detailed contingency plans in response to specific continuity threats such as Pandemic Planning, Millennium Bug and major business and IT relocations. Tim has an MBA from Imperial College, London University and a Bachelor of Arts from Oxford Brookes University. He is a regular business continuity and crisis management trainer and frequent contributor of original articles on business continuity for local and international publications.
