  • African operators discussed their main focus areas as being Operations and IT, Human Resources, Infrastructure development , Equipment and Marketing  
  • Our keynote speakers including Howard Rosen, Chairman, Rail Working Group, Switzerland and Mike Karakadzai, General Manager of National Railways of Zimbabwe who both gave insightful presentations
  • Lucky Montana, CEO of SARCC.Metrorail hosted an on the floor question and answer session for suppliers in industry. 
  • His Excellency Mr Navdeep Suri Consular General of India opened the exhibition with Siyabonga Gama, CEO of Transnet. The ambassador highlighted India’s interest and investment into Africa, with an expanding presence for 2009
  • The 1st annual Africa Rail Awards was a fantastic success where top performers in Africa were recongnised. 
  • Complimentary seminars held in the exhibition area were well attended, with exciting product launches. Transnet Freight Rail hosted a dedicated session on "how to do business with them”

No, we do not combine discounts but we will honour the discount that is better for you.
 
Should you be unable to attend, a substitute delegate is welcome at no extra charge. A charge of 50% of the registration fee plus an administrative charge will be made for cancellations received in writing at least 4 weeks prior to the conference.

Alternatively, you may choose a credit note for the full value of the registration price, which may be put towards any other Terrapinn event.

The company regrets that no cancellations can be accepted within four weeks of the conference start date. Prepayments will not be refunded and invoiced sums will be payable in full, except in cases where it has been possible to mitigate loss. Course documentation will, however, be sent to the delegate.

Terrapinn reserves the right to alter the programme without notice.

The dress code at all our events is business/casual.
 
Conference registration will take place in the morning of the first day of the conference. Please come to the Africa Rail 2009 reception desk by 8.30am.

Workshop registration will take place on the first day of the workshop. Please arrive promptly.
 
Refreshments will be served at regular intervals during the conference. The registration price includes a buffet lunch on all full conference days. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.

Breakfast and evening meals are not included unless otherwise stated in the registration package.
 
If you have any special needs or disabilities please do let us know when you register for the event.
 
You will receive a workbook when you arrive at the event which contains white papers and information on the conference.

Speaker presentations are available on the CONTACT website one week after the conference.
 
Documents will be available on the CONTACT website within one week of the conference finishing.
