Mr Simon Littlewood,
Founder and Chief Executive Officer Golden Bridge Merchant Bank Simon is founder and Chief Executive of GBMB, a merchant bank focused on Greater China, with particular expertise in the clean technology, natural resources and agriculture/food sectors. GBMB leverages on its international network of contacts, staff, investments and the experience of its management team, built up over the last two decades. He has 20 years experience of investing in and working on quoted and private company transactions and fund raisings in the UK, Europe, North America, Greater China, the Middle East and S.E Asia. He was one of the first to realize the potential from the clean technology sector, investing and advising in the sector since the mid 1990’s. He is a recognized expert both in the clean technology sector and investment in China, regularly speaking at conferences and being interviewed for TV and publications. Simon qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, specialising in Growing Businesses, before joining the HSBC Group’s Specialised and Corporate Finance division, where he was involved in acquisitions for the Group, project and structured finance and tax based financing for international blue chip companies. He joined BDO Stoy Hayward’s corporate finance team in 1995, advising on some of the first AiM flotations, as well as mergers, acquisitions and fund raisings. At Impax Capital, the clean technology investment bank, he led a number of corporate finance transactions in the clean technology field, leaving to set up GBMB. Based in Hong Kong, Simon graduated from Oxford University with a Master of Arts in Jurisprudence (law).
