 Mr Saqib Rashid,
Vice President Abraaj Capital Saqib is currently a Vice President at Abraaj Capital and is a member of the investment team covering buyout and growth capital investments. Prior to joining Abraaj, he worked at Spring Capital Partners, a U.S. Small Business Administration-sponsored private equity fund, where he executed 8 transactions in the SME space. Saqib also has experience working at McKinsey & Co (Dubai), where he assisted a GCC-based development bank on refining its SME strategy and assisted a leading commercial bank in the GCC in developing a strategy for launching a mid-market regional private equity fund. Saqib started his career at General Electric Corporation, where he participated in the company’s Financial Management Program.
Saqib holds a MBA degree from The Wharton School and an MA degree from The Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his BBA degree (with honors) from The George Washington University.
