 Mr Rami Alturki,
President Khalid Ali Alturki & Sons Mr. Alturki was educated in Saudi Arabia through high school and then went on to the US where he earned his BA in Economics from Williams College, Williamstown, MA in 1995. After working in business consulting with Arthur Anderson in New York City, he returned to the Kingdom to join his father’s business in 1999. The Alturki Group is a leading family-owned industrial investment group which has been operating in Saudi Arabia for over 30 years. The Group’s subsidiaries and joint venture companies are involved in contracting, trading, manufacturing, and consulting in major industrial sectors such as construction, energy, and environment as well as telecommunications, power, real estate and consumer electronics mainly in Saudi Arabia. Today Mr. Alturki is the President of Alturki Group and manages one of its largest wholly owned subsidiaries: Saudi Readymix, the leading ready-mixed concrete producer in the Kingdom (the company ranked #75 in the top 100 Saudi Companies list published in 2008). Mr. Alturki represents the Group on the boards of most of its joint venture companies and is also a Director of the Board of Bakheet Investment Group and a member of the Internal Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of Wala’a Insurance Company, both in Saudi Arabia. Outside of the workplace, Mr. Alturki is an active member of the Young Presidents Organization, Young Arab Leaders and a member of various committees within Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Mr. Alturki is also a founding member of the Board of Trustees of Mentor Arabia, an affiliate of the global Mentor Foundation which is a non-government and non-profit organization that was established in the Middle East to promote awareness and prevention of drug and substance abuse amongst the region’s youth.
