Ross Stephenson, General Manager, PRD Software (Sponsor)

We have enjoyed the event this year, not that we haven’t enjoyed the event in other years. But this year in particular, there has been a pleasant number of new participants and we actually have had a far higher number of people who have come over to our exhibition stand and talk to us about our product. Plus the exciting fact is that they are in the market for a new product at this point in time.

So from a vendors perspective, for PRD Software it has been a very successful event, we hope, and that means we have intent of being involved in the event for years to come. We decided this year we would try and promote the brand name of our product “Help Master Pro” rather than the company name itself because that is what we want people to be able to recognize.

Lance Craig, Helpdesk Team Leader – ICTSC, Royal New Zealand Police College (Delegate)
The 17th Annual Pacific Rim Helpdesk conference was great! The staff of Terrapinn were really friendly and picked an awesome venue for the conference and Cocktail function. I've only just started as a Helpdesk Team leader with in the last 6 months, so my expectations of the conference was very limited. The trip was initially about improving just our Helpdesk environment but the conference has really broadened my horizons. There is now a huge emphasis on working together with 2nd level support as opposed to treating it like 2 teams fighting the same war. After only my 1st time attending this conference I'm convinced I'll be attending again and bringing along more of my work colleagues.”

Cliff Brown, Manager, ITS Service Desk, Swinburne University of Technology (Delegate)
Like all good conferences there is some really exceptional presentations and some presentations that simply re – confirm what we already know. It has been good to share some information and learn from other people here who are experiencing the same pain as we all seek to improve our IT Services. The highlight of the event has been a few enlightening presentations. One of them was from a fellow university.
This is my first year at the event and I am definitely coming back again. Next year we would like to bring the CEO to see where other companies are up to. May I also congratulate you and the venue, the facilities and the hotel staff has been fantastic.

Linisei Mohenoa, Business Development Manager, InTechnology (sponsor)
The conference has been excellent, the set up by Terrapinn, the layout, the format and the interaction between the end users (i.e. delegates) and the vendors has been done to perfection. The fact that you’ve got all the delegate’s details in front of you, you can then target who is more suited to your product by reviewing the ONLINE CONTACT SYSTEM. Plus the speed networking with the delegates was very handy for meeting one on one.

Dean Webbe, Pre and Post Sales Support Engineer, InTechnology (sponsor)
The quality of the people has been good they have been from the upper management of the IT Support side which is good. It has definitely been worthwhile representing our vendors here. The Gala Dinner was very relaxed and helped break down the barriers, by getting to talk to the delegate’s one on one.

Jennifer Tyler, Assistant Help Desk Manager, Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (delegate)
I really enjoyed the speakers who were relevant to my job, in particular when problem investigation was the focus. This has been my first year to the event and the presentations have been higher than my expectations. I would like to come back next year, it was very good. I met a lot of people and made some great contacts. The Gala Dinner was great, the entertainment in particular.
