MetroRail 2008 was a resounding success
With just shy of 300 participants, the global metro industry was well represented, and feedback has been extremely positive. We look forward to seeing you there in 2009!

The 4th annual MetroRail 2008 conference was held for the first time in Denmark, at the prestigious Marriott Hotel in Copenhagen. The event enjoyed fantastic support from the industry, with more participants and sponsors than ever before. MetroRail again provided the perfect setting for senior executives from metro operators, government officials and key industry suppliers to make contacts, discuss current initiatives and plan future developments.

MetroRail 2008 attracted 19 sponsors and exhibitors. There were 298 participants, of whom 54 were senior level speakers. An excellent 52% of the audience were representing a metro company.

Of the 298 participants, 97% were from senior management and above, 89% were Director/Vice President level and above.

42 different countries around the world were represented. With the event being in Europe, the largest proportion of participants (52%) came from this region. MetroRail continued to attract metros from across the globe with 23% of attendees from the Americas, 17% from the Asia Pacific region and 8% from the Middle East and Africa.

The marketing campaign was targeted and extensive. Sponsors and exhibitors enjoyed unrivalled branding and marketing exposure to their target audience.

MetroRail 2008 also saw the launch of the industry’s first ever dedicated awards ceremony – The Metros. Over 230 senior level executives attended this fantastic evening, where excellence in the metro industry was celebrated. It is sure to return in 2009.
