Government, operators and railway experts address key funding and planning issues
MENA Rail 2009 is where MENA’s rail visionaries gather to define the future
Planning and funding are arguably the two greatest challenges impacting the growth of the Middle East and North African rail industry today.

In order for projects to be successfully implemented on budget, on spec and on time, there needs to be a transparent partnership between project owners, consultants and contractors and greater synergy in the industry’s approach to the planning and funding of new rail projects.

Discover the solutions at MENA Rail 2009

MENA Rail 2009 will unveil the blueprints for critical new projects in the region offering ‘previously unheard’ insights into projects in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Jeddah, Makkah and Dubai and many more. Come and get the inside scoop and hear intimate, detailed presentations on the region’s most exciting new projects, updated timeframes, contract plans, spec requirements and much more.

MENA Rail 2009 will give you an unrivalled insight into the planning, funding and development strategies behind successful international rail projects in London, Rome, Tehran, Kuala Lumpur, Algiers, Delhi, Tehran, Copenhagen, Chicago and Hong Kong among others. See how their strategies differ to MENA rail projects and how European, Asian and North American approaches can be applied effectively in the Middle East.

At MENA Rail 2009 you will also be able to analyse how regional governments, operators and consortium leaders can best approach procurement and tendering of mega-rail projects. Learn how the Saudi Arabian Railway Co. procured the 4 key packages of the North/South Railway, their approach to the tender process and the challenges they faced. On top of that, gain an in-depth understanding of how international rail pioneers like MTR Hong Kong design contracts specifically for mass transit and multimodal projects which will continue to grow around the region.
