 Mr Maurice Brand,
Managing Director LNG Limited Australia Maurice Brand was the foundation shareholder and Managing Director of Energy World Corporation Ltd from March 1985 to September 2000. In 2002, Maurice formed LNG International Pty Ltd, with the business model now adopted by LNG Ltd.
In 1987, Maurice secured a LNG Sales Agreement to develop Australia's first domestic LNG Plant in Alice Springs. In 1991, he initiated the first Independent Power Project (IPP) project in Australia, selling the plant's full generating capacity into the Queensland Electricity grid.
Maurice has extensive experience in the global energy industry having been responsible for equity capital raisings of over $300 million, project financing of $800 million and closure of six Independent Power Projects (IPPs) with a total generation capacity of 545 MW, in Australia, Indonesia and India.
