Look back at Islamic Funds Asia 2008
The 2nd Annual Islamic Funds Asia 2008 was attended by 150 senior level executives at the Westin Hotel, Kuala Lumpur from 11 – 13 March 2008.
The conference addressed some of the most current/important trends and developments, opportunities in the burgeoning the Islamic funds wealth management markets. The conference was chaired by Mr Hussain Najadi, Founder Chaiman AIAK Group Malaysia, Founder-President Davos Management Institute, Switzerland on Day 1 and Dr. Aly Khorshid, Islamic Finance Economist and Shariah Scholar, Elite Horizon Economic Consultant chaired the Day 2 program.
Both days of the main program consisted of insightful content, exchange of valuable ideas and high spirited networking sessions. Key industry players were engaged in interactive panel discussions to share best practices, strategies and perspectives on the Islamic fund and wealth management marketplace. Stand alone presentations and case studies covered the trends and developments along with best practices in the industry. We had also introduced a U TURN session - a brand new invention by Terrapinn. The session offered our delegates an unique opportunity to drive the agenda by choosing the topics and speakers which is pure user generated content.

There was spirited, and at times, intense networking among the speakers and delegates during the breaks. Our SPEED networking session again proved to be an effective medium for all attendees to establish many contacts within a short period of time. An evening networking session was held on the first evening of the main conference which provided a relaxed ambience to unwind, relax and network with business associates.
