The workshop will provide information regarding future planning and an outline of the
framework that would integrate a patient centric system into current day today operations.
Compare and contrast approaches to this debate from a public and private perspective with
an understanding of the future challenges that will ariseas our health care system evolves
along this path.

About your workshop leaders:
Prof. Justin Beilby, Executive Dean School of Medicine, University of Adelaide
As Executive Dean, Justin oversees all undergraduate training in medicine, nursing,
dentistry, health sciences, psychology and public health at the University of Adelaide.
He’s been involved in research and evaluation with workforce planning, primary
care financing, chronic illness and the quality. He is currently a Commissioner in the
National Hospital and Health Reform Commission.
David Butt, Former National CEO, Little Company of Mary Health Care
David is the former National CEO of Little Company of Mary Health Care– the non-profit
organisation which operates the Calvary public and private hospitals, aged, and community
and home care services. David was also on the Stewardship Board of Catholic Health
Australia – the peak body for the Catholic health care sector – and chaired the CHA Health Policy Committee. Previously he was Chief Executive of the ACT Department of Health and Chair of
AHMAC (the Australian Health Ministers Advisory Council).
