Do you need a Visa?
You will NEED a visa for Kazakhstan unless you are a citizen of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and Georgia.
Please be aware that it can take up to 30 working days to obtain this visa support depending upon your nationality. So do apply as early as possible.
According to the International Agreement RK, foreign citizens and person without citizenship necessary to enter on the territory of Kazakhstan need to get Visa.
A Visa Support document (Letter of Invitation) is one of the mandatory documents needed by the Kazakh Consulate when applying for Visa. We have appointed International Travel Plus to help you with your visa application. You can order your Visa Support Letter (also called an invitation) from them after obtaining the official application form from Ms Debby Lim, debby.lim@terrapinn.com.
In order to get the Visa Support, foreign citizens need to do the following:
- Fill in the request for Visa Support (please email your request to Ms Debby Lim, debby.lim@terrapinn.com )
- Pay for Visa Support (cash, cleaning or credit card) on International Travel plus account.
- Cost of Visa Support is from 55 USD, depending on the citizenship
In order to obtain Kazakhstan Visa, foreign citizens should address to the embassy/consulate of Republic of Kazakhstan in your own country and provide the following documents:
- Copy of the Invitation letter with Consulate Service Department MFA RK mark of Visa Support’s number;
- Passport (period of validity must be no less than 6 months after leaving RK);
- Photo (size and quantity according in prescribed manner from embassy/consulate Republic of Kazakhstan in the county of being);
- Completed Visa Application Form

Important Notice! According to the official information from MFA of Republic of Kazakhstan, visa support is not required for application of single entry visa to Kazakhstan (for a period of no more than one month) for citizens of the following counties (you have to be born in one of these counties and hold a passport from one of these countries):

The only documentations these nationalities require are (Please approach the Embassy of Kazakhstan in your own country for more information):
- Your original passport (with at least one blank visa-designated page; passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your intended departure date from Kazakhstan)
- One recent passport-type photograph.
- An introductory letter containing a brief summary of the purpose of your visit.
- Completed Visa application form
Other things to note
- Please do remember to give yourself enough time to plan your visa and to make your travel arrangements – it can take several weeks depending upon your nationality.
- You will need a Visa Support Letter if you are not on the above list.
- You can only apply for a visa once you have the visa support document.
- Please approach the Embassy of Kazakhstan in your own country to ask for the cost of the Consulate fee.
- In all cases visas are issued only for the dates shown on your invitation.
Types of visa
There are 2 main visa types:
BUSINESS VISA
If you are attending the Conference as a conference delegate or expect to undertake business whilst during your stay at Kazakhstan, we recommend that you travel on a Business visa. An invitation from Kazakhstan is required. International Travel Plus will obtain this for you. Business visas are available for periods of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months; single, double or multiple entries.
TOURIST VISA
If you are simply visiting the Conference and not conducting any business you can then travel on a tourist visa. International Travel Plus can obtain your invitation for you. Tourist visas are available for a maximum period of one month and come as single or double entry.
YOU WILL HAVE TO REGISTER YOUR PRESENCE IN THE COUNTRY WITH THE AUTHORITIES ONCE YOU ARE IN KAZAKHSTAN
ALL non-CIS nationals MUST REGISTER with OVIR (Office of Visas and Registration) - the agency that registers foreigners in Kazakhstan with stays of more than 72 hours. Your passport will be stamped once you have done it.
WHO CAN REGISTER YOU?
The inviting company, organization or individual that issued your visa support document can register you. If these organizations or individuals cannot register you, or you didn't need a visa support document to obtain your visa, you can still register through an official body including a travel agent or some hotels. A fee is likely to be charged for this.
